Our Community Impact

Onchan Pensioners Social Club, we believe in the power of working together to support causes that make a real difference in our community and beyond. Through various initiatives, we’ve been able to raise funds, gather donations, and provide a space for valuable learning and connection.

Brewing Support for Good Causes

Each year, we host charity coffee mornings to raise funds for important causes. All proceeds from these events are donated to carefully selected charities, ensuring that our efforts help those who need it most.

Over the years, we’ve been proud to support a wide range of causes, including: the RNLI, Manx Cancer, Special Olympics, Macmillan Nurses, Samaritans, Prostate Cancer UK, Poppy Appeal, Craig’s Heartstrong Foundation, Onchan Football Club, Sight Matters, Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Supporting the Isle of Man Foodbank

Every week at our coffee mornings, our members generously donate a variety of goods to the Isle of Man Foodbank. These contributions help provide food and essential items to those who are struggling in our community. We are grateful to our members for their ongoing support and dedication to this important cause.

Local Business Support

We are incredibly grateful to the local businesses and shops who support our charity efforts by providing raffle prizes and other donations. Their generosity makes a real difference and helps us raise more funds for the causes we care about.

Modernisation and Community Support

Thanks to the generous support of The Manx Lottery Trust, we’ve been able to make improvements to our club facilities. These upgrades benefit not only our members but also the wider community. We look forward to continuing to provide a welcoming, modern space for all to enjoy.

Inspiring Conversations and Learning

During the winter months, we host a series of guest speakers who come to talk to our members about their organisations and the important work they do. These “Talking Services” sessions offer valuable insights and opportunities for our members to learn more about services available in the community. It’s also a chance to meet new people and engage in thought-provoking discussions.
